Институт зоологии Комитета науки Министерства науки и высшего образования Республики Казахстан совместно с Казахским национальным университетом имени аль-Фараби при финансовой поддержке ДААД объявляет о проведении летней экологической школы на орнитологическом стационаре Чокпак в Туркестанской области Казахстана.
Для проведения летней экологической школы был выбран орнитологический стационар, расположенный на перевале Чокпак в предгорьях Западного Тянь-Шаня на границе Жамбылской и Туркестанской областей. Здесь проходит один из наиболее важных путей миграций птиц. Весной и осенью птицы, пролетая вдоль горных систем, концентрируются в огромные скопления. На перевале Чокпак к настоящему времени окольцовано более 2 миллионов 290 видов птиц. Перевал расположен на стыке хребтов Джабаглытау и Боролдай. Абсолютная высота – 1200 метров. Он представляет собой «бутылочное горлышко» и относится к категории «ключевых орнитологических территорий».

Студентам предлагается познакомиться с фауной (насекомые, амфибии, рептилии и млекопитающие) и флорой предгорий Западного Тянь-Шаня, посетить Аксу-Жабаглинский государственный природный заповедник, освоить методики отлова, кольцевания и мечения птиц.
Вы сможете участвовать в работе орнитологического стационара: в процессе установки ловушек и паутинных сетей для птиц, проводить определение отловленных особей птиц, кольцевать, извлекать птиц из ловушек и паутинных сетей, проводить визуальные наблюдения за птицами.

Мы проведем пешие экскурсии в близлежащие территории для ознакомления с разнообразием природы Западного Тянь-Шаня. Также будут экскурсии в государственном природном заповеднике Аксу-Жабаглы и на водохранилище Терс-Ащибулак где есть большое скопление водоплавающих птиц.

Также будут проведены лекционные и практические занятия по герпетологии, териологии, энтомологии и ботанике. Во время практических занятий для изучения фауны студенты будут ловить дневных и ночных насекомых, мелких грызунов и амфибий, наблюдать за рептилиями, делать гербарий из растений. Такой подход к организации практики позволит понять студентам, как осуществляются полевые наблюдения и сбор материалов в настоящее время, которые обеспечиваются не только существующими научными методиками, но и физическими усилиями, сопряжены со сложными бытовыми условиями сбора и обработки полученных данных.
Все получаемые студентами данные о разнообразии и свойствах диких животных и растений будут объясняться с точки зрения биоцентризма и экосистемных услуг. Поэтому данная полевая практика может представлять большой интерес для экологов, зоологов и ботаников и для студентов с более широким кругом интересов. При проведении полевых занятий соблюдается принцип «не навреди», что важно для формирования экологического сознания и понимания молодежи.
